Corporate Lean Six Sigma Black Belt - Automotive
Located in Indiana, salary up to $120K plus bonus. Relocation available. MUST HAVE AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE. Main Responsibilities: Program/ Project Management • Manages multiple projects with interdepartmental and cross functional stakeholders • Effectively trains, implements, and communicates project management methodologies across the organization ensuring accuracy, consistency, and thoroughness; • Lead and develop innovative solutions using Six Sigma, Lean, and other appropriate process improvement methods and tools. • Participates in project reviews to offer technical expertise and facilitates sharing of best practices across the organization • Works with project sponsor and stakeholders to develop project charters, plans, and schedules; manages project budgets, communication plans, project review meetings, and deliverables; oversees training development and delivery, change management, and risk assessment. • Directs project team, as required, assigning duties, responsibilities and scope of authority • Manage project development from initiation to closure; Accountable for project results • Resolves any issues and solve problems throughout the project life cycle • Tracks and reports project milestones and provides status updates to Project sponsor/Stakeholders • Completes post-project evaluations to determine if the expected results were successfully delivered, and develops lessons learned for continuous improvement in project delivery. • Mentor, coach and sponsor Green Belt and other professionals in the planning, designing, and accomplishing of key projects Program/Project Administration • Schedules and facilitates meetings related to the project • Updates and modifies, as needed, project reporting information Analytical/Technology • Updates department project reporting & tracking systems, dashboards and metrics • Analyzes project information to determine overall business case • Works with businesses to determine needs, requirements, resources, etc. Communication/Leadership: • Establishes and executes program/project communication plans to Project Sponsor and Stakeholders • Works with Project Sponsor and stakeholders to complete project charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing • Must be able to understand the importance of stakeholders’ business objective and drive the process towards achieving those objectives (i.e. ability to see the big picture). • Clearly communicates expectations to team members and stakeholders • Act as a mediator between stakeholders and team members • Leads, coaches, and motivates members of project team Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree – Engineering preferred • 5 + years as experience as a Project Manager • Six Sigma Black Belt certification and previous experience managing business process improvement projects as a Black Belt. • Proven track record of improving complex processes and using Six Sigma methodology. • Self-driven, outcomes oriented performer. • Proven success initiating change and ability to influence at all levels of the organization • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence/persuade decision makers and motivate team members. • Track record in delivering projects successfully and within budget. • Decision-making, problem solving, critical thinking, and listening skills required.
